I was in a two lane turn lane. The G8 was in front of me and an older Dodge diesel was next to him. We get the green light to turn we start going. By the time we got through the intercession there was enough room for me to get over so I take off. Going about 65 in a 55 at this point. Next thing I see is the G8 hauling a$$. as soon as he was next to me I punch it, stop his pull, and put a truck length on him. Very happy with the way the truck is running.

Nice work Andy. Do you have a mountable camera like a gopro or just a reg HD camcorder? If you have a regular camcorder you could make a mount easy that clips on the passenger seat headrest.

 

Thats impressive Andy. Those G8's are strong from a roll like that. between the 6 speed and their better aerodynamics thats a good run.

i did the same thing to a 2012 charger on friday. i was behind him at a light, with a dump truck in the other lane, when the light changed we both pulled away, i got over in front of the truck and took off. he stomped it as i was getting even with him ( he was going about 20mph, i was maybe at 25-28mph), and we ran all the way to 100. i had him by a fender in 1st, than when i hit 2nd i pulled a door on him.

my truck with a 4l60e, 33" tires, and 3.42's will do 61mph in 1st, and 103mph in 2nd.


i'm not sure what engine was in the charger, i wasn't paying him any attention until he tried to run me.

 

Probably the V6 model. The '12's have a 292 HP 3.6 V6 and an 8 speed auto. If it would have been a Hemi you would see nothing but tail lights with your truck.... Good run none the less.
