Default Ram got killed by a ????
We just came back form one of our car meets and on the way back one of the guys that was there (who is a friend) kills me in a race. He has a new body style Chevy 5.3L extended cab with headers, custom program and... thats all I know of. I took him off the line but at about 30 he yanks my ***, and I mean bad. It doesn't bother me but I thought I would just share the story
This was from another forum and he has a RCSB bee, i posted trver1t dyno graph and said the 5.3 are verycapable and he was probably putting down 270-280rwhp and they said it was never possible blah blah blah, So is it me or do they have a hard time believing a 5.3ho can hit 300+ rwhp with tune headers, exhaust, intake? They even came out saying it was flywheel hp.

Blue cajun's 5.3 is putting more than 300 to the wheels. the only difference is he has a cam. So it is deffinatly possible

you should post the most thread about the 5.3 NA record over there and get ready for the **** to fly.

Check the Dyno list, you'll see i am at the bottom of the 300hp list! Right above a 4.8!!!!!
Gotta get me a cam....

They just seem to get a 5.3 gets the same power they do to the wheels with the same amount of money put into it.

Adding a cam is a HUGE step from just boltons.....

They dont seem to believe it because some 1 with these mods:

Hedman Longtube Headers and Y-Pipe
QTP Electric Cutout
Superchips Tuner
6.1L Hemi Cam
Viper Electric Fan
Taylor 8.2mm Shorty Wires
AIR RAM Jet Stream
AIR RAM Powerwire
180 Stat

308hp and 351tq. On a hemi 5.7

Wonder what trever1t's truck would put down with a 6.0 ho cam? just to make it fair to the hemi.

Just curious Blue... what was your race weight and DA for your record setting run????
Killer time BTW...

but what the hell... can't we get some flying over here??? J/K.... I would need to add another 130 HP or so to get mine that fast.. hmmm maybe if I take the bed and front end off???

Also what parts are interchangeable from a ls1 to a 5.3 being that the 5.3 being bored to 5.7?
