Default raced my bros c5

My bro picked up a 98 c5 vett last weekend so it was time to put it to the test, car has a cat back and a few tweeks on the tranny tuning otherwise stock, we went from 45 i had to play the throddle a bit till 60 (worthless street tires) so we stayed side by side till 80ish then i pulled about a half a car to 100 then stayed even till i ran out of rpm (120ish). I was happy i was able to run with a vett but hands down them cars move!

I have a 255/70 r 16 tire, i think its around 29in tall and a spun it to 7200 before i let off, my bro said his car showed about 120, my speedo only shows 100. It also depends on how much power you have, if i spray it i cant go quite as fast cause of more converter slip. Im setup to go into od if i want but it falls on its face then, an overdriven gear is never good for drag racing

No he didnt have it on yet, just a little tranny tuning other then that it was the way he picked it up. Its truely a nice car and its going to get well taken care of, and going to get much faster over time.

Oh hell, Jake's being modest, that's what happened when we went AGAINST a 20mph head wind! With the wind hittin from the side it was more like, from 45 to 55 we were even and then he pulled about 2 cars to 100 and it stayed that way to 120.

Oh btw, Midwest7, yep its your old car, and I'm still loving it!
