Yesterday i raced a newer body charger r/t. Me and my girlfriend were just cursing last night when a charger approached us and was trying to get my attention. He got my attention zooming past me. Then we were at the light, he was reving his motor so i rev'ed back. I wasn't going to race him because me and my gf were enjoying ourselves. Next thing i know it she looked at me and said GET HIM! I rev'ed up to 1000rpms and so did he. We both pulled off the line but i pullled harder. I got him by half a car length and he couldnt pull me at all. The next race was from a 50 roll, we were neck and neck and i sightly pulled him b4 hitting the speed limiter. Final race was from a 70 roll. I pulled him until i hit the speed limiter . I think i did a pretty good job considering i have no mods. He had a CAI and exhaust.

Have a stock 2000 5.3 regular cab 2wd with 3.73's . I think i did pretty damn good for no mods . Mr. Radix here i come!!!

Sure it wasn't a V6? You must have a true factory freak because those stock are rated for low 14's and your truck stock is rated mid to high 15's.

 

I ran into 2 R/Ts and slowly pulled on them.I even tried to keep up w/ a SRT-8 and he barely inched ahead of me.

 

Well you're putting out a tiny bit more power than he is.

Yeah 99Lightning, if you pulled away from one slowly that means a stock 5.3 should get blown out of the water. I don't want to sound like a dick or anything I just don't think this could happen with a charger R/T, maybe if the dude couldn't drive the car at all but that's it.

 

I ran one at the track, I lost by a length.

 

They are stout. I have a buddy with an L running low 12s and he had Charger SRT-8 sitting dead even from a 50 roll on up.

 

hehehe, they revved to a 1000 rpm, hell if I sneezed I'd be at 1500rpm. Sorry man, you didn't race a R/T.
