Default Poped the T'Blazers cherry today...

Its first official kill.... and it was sooooo sweet.

I had promised myself to lay off the throttle for the first 1000 miles and I've been pretty good so far. Got the oil changed today at just a tic over 900 (figured it was close enough) and decided that anyone at a light who wanted a peice was gonna get it.

ON A SIDE NOTE: you should've seen the oil... looked like it had been in there for 3000 miles... guess thats why you're supposed to break em in and do the first oil change early

So I finished off my day at work, jumped in and started heading home. Traffic started to get light around my house and I found myself at a light next to a guy in a black Excursion. It definitely had an exhaust, but I'm not sure what else. He was checkin' out the TB pretty intensely while we waited for the light to turn, but I didn't think he was gonna try and race me.

When the light turned he gunned it... I got a late jump but was past him before we crossed the intersection. I had already turned the traction control off so I got a nice little tire squeel... and hooked pretty cleanly.

The new magnaflow was HOWLING and the TBlazer just sounded mean. I shut it down just before 90mph and the guy got next to me at the next light with complete amazement on his face...

He leaned out of his window and asked "Whats that thing got under the hood?"

I just smiled and said "Oh... just an LS2"

He told me it was a "******' sick ride. I didn't know there was a trailblazer SS" and I thanked him. He then asked me to lay down some scratch when the light turned and I was more than happy to oblige. Ahhhh... the smell of burnt rubber... I had forgotten how much fun it was to do a burnout

I've gotta say this thing is soooooo much fun to drive... and silly fast

I know a land yacht like the excursion isn't much of a challenge for a kill, but it felt good to obliterate a blue oval and get my first kill out of the way.

badass blazer there. I'm amazed the times they've been turning recently, considering the size of them.

I'm gonna get it lowerd and then start on the basics.

Still no headers available for the TBSS yet b/c of clearance issues on the passenger side, but tune, intake, TQ converter, and a couple of other basics for now.... I wanna see how far I can take it NA... then I'll start pushing the envelop with the mods.

Im not one to go much for apperance but if you set it up like the one in your sig, that would be hot. Damn hot.

Thats the plan. Drop and black 22's should be all for the appearance stuff other than the bowtie and removing badges (already done)

I don't think I'm going to go too crazy on the performance mods with this ride b/c it still needs to be family friendly. This is going to be my daily driver and I've been shopping for a 69 C10 project truck to bag and build a mild 350 for.
