Default Not exactly a race but interesting......

Sitting in town today doing some errand running and a primered early model chevy LUV pickup pulls up next to me. I can see the drag radials sticking out from the back, looked pretty radical..........but had a rice sound to it......I'm thinking this guy is a friggin moron. So the light turns green, I wasn't even wasting my time on this heap as far as a street race went, but when the light turned green, he took off like a bat out of hell and the drag radials went up in smoke and he was off like a mad man! I about tripped the hell out, he then pulls back in front of me and motions me to pull in a shopping center, so we pulled in and chatted for a minute and he was like.........I thought you wanted to race, and I pretty much told him in town that was a no-no for me, we'd have to head out to the farm or the track and do it, but not in town, cops are hard here. Anyhoo..........he popped the hood, MAZDA B13 rotary engine built to the hilt, custom intake with a big holley 4 barrel and custom headers, 4:56s gears. He said race weight was like 2300 lbs. I bet it screams! He was suspose to come over this afternoon, but I got called into work, so I missed him. I'll have a few photos to share with you guys this week sometime, this little thing was sick!

Take my comment however you want.Apparently you've never seen it so I wouldn't expect you to understand.Oh that's right can't say anything bad about the almighty Chevy.

Don't over look the ugly luv pickups. We had one that should have been in a junk yard. All but the engine of course. It had a 400 small block that dynoed 705hp to the rear wheels! It was ugly as sin but fast.

The way I see it looks don't matter as long as it gets the job done.
