Default me vs 5.0 gt

my friend has a 1991 5.0 that has a few things done to it. not enough to make it fast but a few things. pulleys, flowmaster, 3:73's. well i beat him when he was stock and it was no problem. when he got this stuff on he wanted to see how much it had actually helped so we raced from 60 and he pulled by abt 3 cars, then we went from 20 and i got the jump but he pulled again by 3. well i knew something was wrong because my truck felt like it kept on cuttin in and out. so all in all i lost, he got really cocky and i wasnt about to sit there and justify why i lost so i let him have it. i took into the shop and found out that my lifters went yet again, i had a blown intake manifold gasket, and i had 2 exhaust valves that werent openin up, and to top it off my transmission mount broke and it overheated on me. so anyways it wil be out of the shop tomorrow so ill post this race again when i actually beat him. thanx for readin

the major work i dont do. i picked it up today and they told me the mechanic that worked on it before didnt torque down the heads right and he also didnt torque my intake manifold down in the three steps that he was sposed to. but i got new heads and intake manifold just to be on the safe side, nothing changed except for some reason it drives differently (good thing). the bad thing is i cant step into it for abt 500-1000 miles. but everything is fixed, now time for the transmission. thats just to give yall an update
