Default Racing from a roll......

I don't get why people think that racing from a roll is racing. I mean if you think about it logically the only true way to race is from a stop. Then no car has more momentum than the other. It's then an even race. Don't get me wrong I love to mess with people when they try to pass me, but it's just not an accurate way to depict which car is truly faster. Just my 2 cents.

Anyway.......

By my house there is this light that merges from 3 lanes to 2 lanes after the light. I love getting that light because I always get in the merge lane. Anyway, I get to the light and some guy pulls up in an old school Dodge Ram and nods at me. So I nod back and we both got ready for the green. Light turned green and I walked away from him like he wasn't even moving. Then of course about a minute later he pulled a riceby when I was no longer racing. Gotta love that!

racing from a roll is still racing, just not 1/4 mile racing..... plus racing from a stop in the street is worthless as well cause you cant get any traction.... some people already have traction problems at the track much less on the street....

I don't agree on that.....I've drag raced at Moroso Speedway numerous times and I can't grip as good there as I can on the streets. I guess it depends on the track. Plus I haven't tried the track with my new skins yet. But what I was trying to say is when your at a stop, with a light, you both know when to go. But if your at a roll someone always ends up getting a headstart. Not that racing from a roll isn't fun, it's just not as accurate as from a stop.

I don't like racing from stop because it tends to tear up drivetrain parts. It's much easier on parts to apply full power after things are already turning.

It doesn't really bother me too much either way. I kinda like going from a stop more but I never hook. When drag racing on my quad I like to go from about a 5mph first gear role up to a certain object(like a road sign or something) and as soon as we get right at the object we'll gun it. It's all fun either way though..

Ok the fact remains that racing from a dig is a drivers race for the most part. Power is nothing without control. feather that throttle out the hole for the win. Roll racing is a hp/aerodynamics/top speed race.
