Last night I raced my Dads friends new Charger which had a 5.7L in it. Went from about a 50mph roll, he let me take off first- which was a good thing as my truck just downshifted to 3rd, putting my RPMs way too low. So as I limped into boost I pulled him and put a car on him, he was surprised (and so was I as I still don't know how fast this damn truck is)

then tonight on my way home, a Honda S2000 w/ HIDs etc. etc. got even with me and gunned it. The speed limit was 45mph and there were a few cars around so I waited for the speed limit to change to 55mph where there are no cars just straight highway, I went about 60mph to catch up to him. As I got about 20 feet from him he saw me in his rear view and gunned it. So I punched it and pulled him extremely hard and then put about 3 cars on him before I let off. I really thought he wasn't even trying, but the speed he was going as I passed him doesn't equate to him not trying

After that, since he sort of bullshitted the whole run by doing what he did I slowed down to let him get even with me so we could go from a more practical speed. I slowed down to 40 MPH AND DROVE LIKE THIS FOR A WHILE, wondering "what the hell is taking this guy so long to catch up to me" (remember this is in a 55mph speed limit zone)

The guy didn't want to run me so bad that he purposely would not come up to me and he did this by driving EXTREMELY slow to avoid getting next to me lol... I thought that was hilarious. I know the S2000 isn't necessarily a drag queen, but I'm pretty sure I put the guys foot in his mouth as far as him messing with me first

 

HAHA, I've had those guys too who will not pull up to you anymore and just go slower and slower!!

I had a guy do that in a quad cab 1500 a while back. I was doing the same you did. 40 in a 55 and the guy WOULD NOT get next to me. lulz!!! great run btw!
