I think I might have bitten off more then I can chew, This guy has a 04 SS Ext Cab Truck with 20s on it. Anyways I have a Nelson Tune & UPD Cold Air with a Custom Ram Air setup combined with the UPD Cold Air kit, I also have a TB Spacer & Tornado Fuel Saver & Pullys & Elec Fan & a Hooker Aerochamber Muffler on stock Exhaust Manifolds & stock Cats. I have run a best of 9.50s at 75 mph on this set up.
Do I have a chance?
If not? Will Longtube Headers & a True Dual Exhaust setup free up some HP to give me a enough to beat him?
By the way his truck is stock except a aftermarket muffler!

I have the 5.3 motor. I raced a lighting & he took me out of the hole by 2 trucks & put another 1 & half on me to 90 from a dead stop, But he was modded with cold air & chip & pully,
I raced my buddys 2000 mustang GT in the 1/8 & he barley even pulls me by a car & he has a offroad H-pipe & mufflers & he runs 9.20s

It will be a pretty good race. I think driver skill will be the deciding factor. Stock 2004 Silverado SS trucks run 9.5's in the 1/8 mile with a decent driver. Pacesetter longtubes and a nice exhaust setup will definitely give you the win.

Where can I order some Pacesetter LT Headers at & can I go to a X-Pipe on my truck too. I have a 2000 LS1 with Hooker LT & a X-pipe & it runs just as good as the Y-Pipe setup.
I wonder if I did a X-Pipe setup on my truck with the longtubes if I would gain any more HP?
So the LT would seal the A$$whooping for him then?
