There's a pretty heavily modded SRT-4(skittle) in town. Has bigger cams, ported and polished head, bolt-ons, block off plate, and runs 19psi of boost. He wanted to run my 04 gto(apparently the slow model to some).

Run one:
Dig.
I knee-jerk at 3000rpms and leave the hole with no spinnage. Slam 2nd and the rear end kicks out a little. By this time I have probably 2-3 cars on him. Shut down at 110 with 10-15 cars.

Run two:
I let him switch drivers LOL.
Dig.
I knee-jerk at a little over 3000rpms and spin a little through first, although I'm already leaving him behind. Slam 2nd and spin some, while still pulling away, 3rd and 4th gear ensue, and I have probably 25 cars on him at 130. LOL.

Now, I went into this deal thinking he was going to wax the road with my butt. I was VERY suprised. AFter the first race, he said for me to turn off the traction control(that's how good I launched), and when I replied that it was off, my friend yelled out "I TOLD YOU THAT HE COULD LAUNCH." At that point they switched drivers to a "better one" and handed them their butt again. There's the proof that the short times win races.

 

Hmm, I've seen plenty of modded SRT-4s hang right with stockish LS1 camaros...

 

Especially with 19lbs..

 

Modded srt 4s are quick when modded right, but aren't very good for dig races from what I've seen around my area; Nice kill op.

 

They need a driver mod.

I've only seen video's of them but I've never seen one fast from a dig. But amazing from a roll

 

Yeah, we went from a 20 roll, and he pulled about 2 cars on me in 1st, 2nd I started reeling him in at the top, and 3rd gear I was at his rear door, and he let off.

Lucky for him u have the slow model. I hope u told him using the slow model, he was . I guess u didn't need the "better" driver mod.
I'da thought it be a bit closer. Props on the kill, make that destruction.
He prolly wanted to go from a roll since that allowed him to save face a bit.

 

i am not saying that your a liar but i had an 06GTO with full exhaust, intake, thermo, tune, on slick with bogarts, drag bags, and on a 150 shot when i lived in so cal. i raced my buddy srt-4 that has cams, different wastegate, running 21 lbs of boost, big front mount, cutout, downpipe, tune, walboro, intercooler sprayer, intake, on drag radials and unless i used spray, he would beat me every time. i would out launch him but hed still reel me in up top (unless i used spray). when i used spray, i would beat him by 8-9 cars every time. so i want to know what you have done to your goat. this srt's driver(s) must really suck *** if they cant reel u in up top (unless your using spray). ANYWAYS, good kill, i loved makin the turbo 4 bangers cry...
