I know my buddys slightly modded 05' GTO pulls pretty hard on me on the highway. If you go to GM high Tech performance magazine they have some times on there

 

I own a GTO so let me go ahead and give off some info.

04 GTOs can run 13.1-13.5 depending on driver skill and yes thats stock

05 GTOs can run 12.9s on up too

My personal GTO runs 11.3 @ 130mph on a crap 1.96 60ft... Easily 10second capable when I get my new wheels/tires!

Edit: Just so you know... I am just stating facts, and definately not claiming that you didn't win. I love fast trucks and Hell if it was me that lost I can give respect when respect is due!

Gto's are quick with a few mods. My Friend has an 05' m6 with intake, shorty headers, 1 piece drive shaft, ud pulley. I went 12.33 @114 with a 1.88 60ft, so they are not that slow. They are real good from a roll but not so from a dead stop. But a good kill none the less.

I dont think anyone here is doubting that GTO's are fast. It was funny that the guy in the stock GTO was so surprised that a modded lightning beat him. Its funny that some guy goes and buys a stock GTO and takes it to the track and is surprised that a factory supercharged truck puts it to him. Im amazed daily at the number of idiots that pull up next to me and want to race despite my truck at idle sounding like a jet taking off.
No one tops the mustang owners though

 

People have no idea about some of these trucks. Before I got my SRT-10 I really had no how fast L's were. It took some reading on various forums to get a good idea. L's are fast, no doubt. But people only go by what there hear or think. I constantly get people telling me how much faster my truck is than a L. I have to tell them it comes down to mods and drivers. People are clueless. As far as the GTO's here is me and the GTO mentioned above.
