Me personnaly Ive never seen a stock one run better than 13.5ish times, there is alot of debate over at tech on them a stock ls1 fbod is faster Ive driven the new ones and for what they are supposed to be I wasnt impressed.

 

i have two friends that have a 05' and a 06' and there both fast so good kill but just dont try racing one on the freeway cause it'll go the other way.

 

If thats all they do, I got a chance in my big old heavy sled!

 

That surprises me. I wouldnt think that there is anyone out there who isnt aware of what modded lightnings will do.

 

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on what speed you start out from.

There's tons of people that have no clue what Lightnings even are, let alone what a modded one will do. I still have people tell me my rearend is going out under acceleration.

I know what you mean by people having no clue what Lightnings are all about.I've got a couple people wanting to race me in a turboed Civic and a Stock Evo. They're convinced a 5000lb truck can't do better than maybe high 13s low 14s.They are about to have a very rude awakening.

 

I have been jumped on by everything from Honda's to old Monte Carlo SS's.It is really fun to have a truck that runs like a Vette and still hauls plywood.

The 05 Gto that I ran is running 13.0 in the 1/4.
The car seemed really strong and when we were messing around from 50mph,no one pulled ,dead even.....

 

at the track it's funny when you get 15 or so people come check out your truck looking for nitrous or a s/c, when it's just a cam only 5.3...

 

Yeah, tell him badsvt, we always get that HERO in the ricer that thinks they rule the road here, I just LMAO at them. Me and BadSVT have about the only sport trucks in town, so they always find us and think that they can out run us. Cruise around town on a Fri or Sat night and you'd think it was a fast and furious convention.
