Fun run on the way to work
#1
Well on my way to work today, I end up behind an older 80's model GMC with all kinda performance stickers on the back (holley, hurst, jegs, etc.) and it sounded like he was running open headers. Well he kept hitting it and reving up and down but we were in traffic so I wanted none of it at that time.
About 3 miles down the road, on a three lane stretch of hwy. we end up lined up at a red light and to the far left of him was a newer 01-04ish chebby single cab with what sounded like exhaust and god knows what else. Well i'm laughing pretty hard at this point because I just know whats going to happen. I look over at the guy in the GMC and he just points down the road and it was on
. I hear the chebby in the far lane stall up to around 3 grand then the gmc held his rev's also (it was a stick) so I turn off my VDC and my dumb @ss forgets the A/C on, oh well, and I stall it up to around 2200. Light goes green and we all leave around the same time. Me and the new chebby jump about 1/2 truck out infront of the GMC but the chebby was about a fender ahead of me. We went to about 50ish then I had to get out of it because of up coming traffic.
After the GMC guy got back in front he gave the friendly thumbs up and went about his way, he kept looking back at my truck, I think the crew cab kinda took him by surprise. Well the point of this whole thing is that all the GM guys i've raced at the track and now on the road have been real cool guys, and I hope to hook up with more of yall at the strip in the future.
So it breaks down like
Chebby = 2 (Titan and GMC, I would have loved to get it to around 90 though because I think I would have gained the fender back)
Titan =1 (GMC)
GMC = 0 (But one real cool guy)
I wish I had my equal length headers on and a programmer was out to tune this damn truck

Good kill and death.
There are a ton of GM guys down in LA, shouldn't be hard to meet up with some of them. Check in the Southern section and see if anyone is meeting up anytime soon.
