On the highway last night i was messing around with my buddy in his stock with exhaust Gt mustang. Going about 40 i put it in second and he was in 3rd pushing around 2 and we both nailed it. Outcome was he had 1 1/2 lengths on me.

40 is not the best spot to race from a roll. 25 or 30 mph would have been way better since the tranny upshift to 1st gear and zooooooooom.

 

Are you still running a stock tune? You might be able to shift into first manually on the column at 40mph...thats about my limit that I can downshift at. Im turning it to 6500 rpms in most gears tho with my tune... and my shift points are slightly wider than stock.

Go race him again from a dig and stall it up... should be a close match Good run tho

I have smoked 2 and had my *** handed by one. The guy that beat could only say how suprised he was I kept with him for so long (3 gears).

All who have responded on this post who think that guy killed a mustang. I don't see any fast trucks on this post. You guys will never beat a mustang unless you dump alot of money into your ride.What I see here is wishful thinking which I have already said once before.
