Default First worthy steet race

Just got typing this this up, been busy at the farm. Anyways a few saturdays ago I was on my way home on a two lane highway when I noticed a low-looking set of headlights coming up fast in my rear view. I could tell that this guy was a real toolbox, so I moved up right next to another car in the left lane in order to not let him pass. I let him hang out on my tailgate for a few seconds and then moved forward to let him pass.
He darted into the left lane and moved up right next to me, It was a newer looking eclipse that I figured only had an intake and exhuast. We were going about 45 mph, he hit it and I returned with very little hesitation. I had my window rolled down when I heard his turbo spool up very fast, and then it blew off in between a shift! Anyways I gained about a half a car length then he started to gain at about 95 very slowly. We kept racing until the light in front of us turned red, were were probably going about 110 when we let off. We were dead even.
I was glad that we finished even, didn't want to get beat by no ricer. I was a little disappionted at the ricer, i would think that he woulda smoked me judging by the sound of the turbo, and the fact that he shifted three times to my one. I guess these cars really are slow. Now all I needed was a cam to seal things up definately .

ya.. those little motors are spinning to like 7 or 8k rpms or more... thts what he shifted like 3 times to your one... and he was probably a 5 spd. Ya they are slow, if you heard it spool up real fast like that, it was a small 6 psi turbo or so... but good kill nontheless, considering your truck weighs about 1500lbs or so more than it.

oh, and now i know who that was that added me to their facebook, lol... nice burnout pic by the way, wish it was bigger on your facebook tho.

When you say new eclipse are you saying it was a brand new, model before or model before? Sorry if that sounds confusing. I assume you mean it was the last eclipse model that offerered a turbo. Looking at your mods i would guess you hit mid to high 14s. He must have been bone stock for the race to have ended up even. Good race though. He probably headed to the nearest AutoZone to get some neon lights so he would win next time.

I meant that it was a newer style, not the newest, but like an 02. I thought it was a good race,
i hate having to race ricers, but there are not good trucks in my area.
