Default Chipped 6.0 Pstroke...

A buddy of mine heard that I did H/C to the truck and heard I was the new "King Ding-a-ling" in town. He stopped me tonight and asked if I wanted to run him, so I said sure, but only from a roll. He said F*CK NO, and said I was too scared to run him from a dead. I said, "ok, we'll do both." He agreed. First run was from a 20. We both take off, I spin, catch traction, and pull about 7-8 truck lengths to 90mph. Second run was from a dead. He leaves me by about 4 truck lengths right from the start, by first of second I had already gained and put 3 trucks on him, then by 120mph I had about 10 lengths. He was shittin his pants! Truck is a '06 Powerstroke, 5" Turbo back, 155hp chip, and 4wd. He said he was hittin about 41lbs of boost on the second run. Another buddy of mine has an identical truck, with same chip, same exhaust, runnin 9.00's in the 1/8th. Me and him ran 'em before the H/C and he was right on my bumper.

I was kinda thinkin about this weekend. I don't know yet though. I will have to see what time I get off on Sat. Probably gonna go to DTR. Abbott is takin the 6er, and he wants to see how mine runs too. Me and him raced from a roll the other day, and I pulled him. But his car is best from a dead anyways. We'll just have to see. Might have to ask Jesse if I can borrow the slicks! I need to get my new converter, and the TruTrac in also. Really wanted to do that before I took it to the track, but I'm gettin too anxious. Oh, we're hearing a loud ticking noise on the drivers side now. Like a lifter, or loose rocker. Gonna have to pull the valve covers and check that situation out first for sure!! F'n trucks!

How do you cover 7 truck lengths in one gear? Seems a little high. I'm assuming you both left at the same time and put 4 trucks on you WOW, then you caught up and put 3 on him, all of that right when your just hitting the bottom end of second gear? I know diesels are torque monsters but they don't completely die after 1st gear. Just a little confused, nice kill though.

Did you ever run it at the track. If you did thanks for the invite buddy. I am planning on running my truck next weekend so you better take yours out too.

Tarinitup- Nope, haven't ran it yet. I promise I'll let you know when I go.

Spoolin- It's really not that hard to grasp. 1st gear- eased into the throttle, got about 1/2 truck in front before it shifted into second. 2nd gear- as soon as it shifted it jumped ahead a truck length. So that's 1 1/2 lengths so far. My truck only drops to 4100rpms when it shifts. So it's not really the "bottom" of second. By 5000rpms I had another 1 1/2 trucks on him. Which means I still have 1600 more rpms until it shifts into third. So that means it only took 900rpms in second to gain another 1 1/2 truck lengths, which is less than half of the rpms I have until it shifts, which I would call the "bottom" of second.

Spoolin- Ahh ****, that isn't supposed to be 4 truck lengths. Supposed to be 2. Umm, yeh, my first gear doesn't last that long. I would have to have 2.73's to be able to gain that much ground in first. I see what you were talkin about before.
