You need to get a tranny. When I rode in it I thought it was slipping so bad that you were loosing a lot of pull. I think I told you about the L that I ran at the track and put 2-3 cars on him in the 1/4 everytime we ran. He had a pulley, exhaust, cams, & tune. Granted he had drag radials & I was on slicks but my 60' time was in the 1.70's and his was 1.90's, not much difference. I was pulling him hard on the top end was what really surprised me. I was putting down 109mph and he was 105-106mph. He was really proud of his truck
. He was one of the "*****" lightning boys. He really didn't want to believe that I had a little 4.8. I did run him with my 20's on the rear to make him feel better. he beat me by about 9 car lengths. The amusing thing was he was bouncing around in his truck like a 6 yr old that didn't take his ridlin when we were coming down the return road. At least he felt better.

There is no doubt that it is slipping now. If I roll into it after I am in 2nd it feels pretty good but the 1-2 shift feels like my torque management is back. Either the end of this month or the first of next I will order the tranny.
I just hope I can get it out somehow without having to cut the Y-pipe off. If I can't I am going to buy a new pipe and clamp it on.

Radix is the improved 112 eaton, an upgrade although similiar to the blower the lightning runs. It is more efficient and makes more power than the Eaton on the L though. Radix equipped trucks arent exactly lacking low end.

From what I can tell it uses Eaton 112 rotors and a mangnacharger housing. It is similar to a ported Eaton112 like the lightning has. PM Blownchevy. He, if anyone here, could give a good insight to the real differences. This guy I ran had a ported blower and a 4# pulley if i'm not mistaken. I was running full weight with spare tire, tailgate, towing hitch, some extra tools, toneau cover, 20's on the front and a full tank of gas. I could have possibly hit a high 11 or low 12 at least with a lot of weight reduction and after my last tune. I didn't have any kind of traction device either and I was leaving easy due to horrindous axle wrap. When I ran him I had put down 431rwhp.
