A buddy of mine just got a 2003 Crown Vic police car and is wanting to run tomorrow. Anybody know anything about them? My chances?

 

ive ran one from about 40-100, easy kill, but ive heard they can hit like 140 or something like that, so technically beat him in a quick run, it might be close with what you have done, but outrun, i dont think so, good luck

 

ive never raced a po-po before, so i wouldnt have a clue. altho if it has some donuts stashed under the seat, and in the trunk, it will be in your favor.

 

I know Id lose in a top speed battle lol. Im not tuned yet so I still shut down at 98. Ill let out before then. What would be better, a dig or a roll? We'll probably do both though.

 

if you had gears i would say dig, so....roll.

 

Dig race, roll race. They are nothing to brag about.. You should own that thing, unless it is a marauder

 

Yeah I just hadn't heard anything about them till he mentioned having one and wanting to race. I looked up the specs and it isnt impressive. 230hp/250tq and heavy for a car (considerably less than me though). Ill find out tomorrow what happens. Probably go from 30 where I feel my truck pulls strongest.

 

At my local track they have a program for the high school kids who race called top the cops. You get paired up against local law enforment and race them. The crown vics are lucky to run 16.5s most hitting 17s if I remember right. But I'm sure there geared super high for top speed highway chases so just hope he shuts down after you get a few bus lengths on him haha

 

I did a police ride along the other day, they are plenty slow.

 

That top the cop thing is pretty cool. I figured they would be faster than that. I was expecting to lose, guess I might win lol.
