I have been logging with hptuners, and tuning myself, and having it done by Nelson to make sure I'm doing it right. I got one back from him on thursday, so I went for a long drive on saturday to do some logging. I was driving along watching my laptop, and I hear this loud chattering next to me. I look over, and there is a nice looking cummins ec dodge next to me with 5 guys in it, and he starts reving at me and blowing thick smoke everywhere. It had stickers all over it, Banks, Bullydog, and a bunch of others I don't remember. They all roll down the windows and start egging me to race them, telling me I'm going down, and that they're gonna drive all over me.

So I close my laptop, and ask how fast they want to go from, and I say 60. We take off, and I put about 2 cars on him to 100, and let off. He gets back next to me, and says he wants to go from 50. I only put about 1 car on him then. So, now he says he's going to kick my *** from 40, but he doesn,t know I raised my shift points on 2nd-1st to 45, and thats my trucks sweet spot. We slow down to 40, and the passenger counts down 3-2-1, and my truck grabbs 1st, and jumps about 3 cars on him in about 3 seconds, and I get about 6-8 cars on him to way over 100.

All his buddies were laughing at him for getting cocky on the last race, I stopped and talked to them for a minute, they were all pretty cool.

The funny part is I always hear how fast the diesels are, and I thought he would beat me, but not by much, and it was the other way around.

 

Sounds like you got a pretty fast truck. I got smoked by a intake/exhaust/chipped Duramax back when I had my other truck(6.0 Extended cab 2wd).

 

It runs a lot better now that I've got all the bugs worked out.
I really want to race a camaro ss, or t/a, just to race something that I know is fast, but can never get one to bite.
