The XRunners arent automatically s/c'd. In fact, im fairly sure that TRD doesnt even offer a s/c for the 4.0 V6 yet. Granted he couldve used an aftermarket one.

Yeah none of the tacos come supercharged from the factory. Last I checked TRD does make a blower for them though.

 

Just googled the Tundra X-Runner and the S/C was a $3,000 extra for the 03-04 models.

 

Those are the obs Tacomas, and they had 3.4 V6s. Supercharged with the TRD blower put out around 270hp or so.

 

Oh whoops I forgot the Tacoma was the smaller truck and I guess I wasn't looking close enough to the article.

 

I have a budy that has one nice little truck, his has intake and tuner I beat him hands down in my 07 vmax with a cat back. Everytime we are out and its a manual. They do have a s/c out for the new ones now. He is talking about getting one.

 

I thought the S-runner had the 3.4 V6? I thought the X-runner had the 4.0 V6...

 

Could be, Im not familiar with the exact terminology they used for them. The obs ones with the body kits had 3.4 V6s, the nbs ones w/ the body kits are X-Runners, are 5 speeds and have the 4.0 V6. Neither is s/c'd from the factory. I know TRD makes a s/c for the 3.4 V6 that would have their outputs at around 270hp. TRD doesnt make a s/c for the 4.0 V6 last time I checked, and they have 250ish hp stock. I think URD may make a s/c kit for the 4.0s though.
