another lighting kill

FWIW my $ 02. My 07 weighed 4900lbs + me 225. I had the 60e built by a guy in Grand Prairie and ran mid 7's with no issues in 4wd on a new truck with an STS and mods. Problem is eventually it would've died or needed a rebuild. He said usually the cutoff point on a well built 60 is about 500 rwhp as an average. Then its a matter of time. Mind you, this is a well built trans. If I were you looking down the road for 600 rwhp I would do the 80e with a different gearset since its a heavy truck UNLESS you want a loose converter so you don't have a slow 60 ft time. I personally didn't care for a loose converter on the street for a DD. The ratios available are: 2.97 or 2.75 1st. 1.57 2nd for the 80e. Check "Summit Racing". Best of luck on your build sir!

maybe I appreciate old school a little bit too much. but im a fan of th-400
or you could go t-56 later.... just thinking outside the box a little. I don't like my mods to be quite as "typical" if that makes any sense, even though theres only so much you can do with a transmission, no offense.
