Raced my buddies 05 CCSB just like mine but his mods are a 4" lift with 33's and a flowmaster muff. The first 2 runs were from a dig, 1/4 mile. Each time I had him by 4 lengths and the last race was from 30-90mph and I had him by 3 lengths.

 

LOL, not that my truck is much faster, but that must have been the "18 second 1/4 mile truck race."

LOL, I just saw that you were on stock gears still and you didnt say anything about him having gears. That will kill you with big tires. I used to know the feeling with my truck.

hahaha, thats funny I raced this kid I knew back in the day with a little honda and a cop coming the other way.. ol smokeys arent 2 bright on the race coming at em haha. And I raced my buddies 03 6.0 CC with a 4in lift as well.. on 20s with nitto terra grabs... I toasted his *** with intake and exhaust.. he has an aerochamber Im pretty sure, haha wasnt much of a race cuz the 1st one I just rolled on to it and had him by a length and a 1/2 when I shut down at 60

 

He probably just didn't have his radar on and since you were both going close to the same speed he didn't think anything of it.
When i had my old camaro I passed a friend of mine at 100 and he floored it just before i got up to him so he could catch me (mild 460 4x4 F250). We went around a bend with both of us doing about 110-115 and a Hypo was comen from the other way but never even tapped the breaks.
