If you put your truck in tow haul mode it will jump to first at 40 mph. Just found that out the other night.

 

I have too, even though it was a V6. I still killed a Mustang. BTW, what do you drive? And if it's a mustang, I'm going to guess it's a V6.

 

Its not an accomplishment to kill a mustang. Your in the wrong forum.

I would like to see a stock 4.6l or 5.0 hang with me all motor... and I would further like to see one hang with me on the bottle.

Most of the guys you just "bashed" in this thread have JUST started modding their vehicles... there are an abundant amount of those who mod f-bodys, y-bodys, stangs, and what have you... but us truck guys KNOW that it takes some cash to get these big ole things rolling.. no one was directing anything at Mustangs in this thread, and if they were, it was all in joking... but if you want to turn it into a pissing match we can... your in the wrong place to be talking down to guys like us. If I wanted a 13 sec vehicle... STOCK i would have bought what millions of other owners are modding right now... a Camaro, a Cobra mustang, Viper etc. But no... some of us want to see what we can do in our trucks... Notice how it says performanceTRUCKS.net...

I was just stating that its funny muy 5200+ truck hangs with a 5.0 and with a tune im sure i could take him.

 

"He" drives a dakota R/T hence the screen name. They are not slow by any means. But he does have a point, you'll need some mods in a full size truck to hang with newer GTs. Hell my midsize is still a half second behind my buddy's stock auto GT (14.8 to 14.3)

5.0 Stangs are easy for the most part. Until you run into the one that's more than flowbastards and a K&N....

 

Mustangs, Camaros, Vettes and the exotics are all fun to pick on! having a mean *** truck is fun!!
