I had a 4.3 rcsb that I spanked more than a few full sized trucks with. stock for stock. the 5.3 owns the other engines in the same class (4.6, 4.7, 5.4, etc) Even with equivilent bolt-ons you should walk on them. I had fun embarrassing a few people even when my 5.3 was stock... people just dont really expect it. especially those guys driving the big supercrew king ranch trucks that have more money than brains. The little chevy has always packed a punch. I am not hating on fords (but I dont like them) but facts are facts.

HEY! my 99 5.2 single cab Dodge would run 17.0 on it BEST day! It would even burn those 20's off!

No kidding on roasting the 20's but it was a real dog..... Looked good though...

I did pull on two 4.3 RCSB in my dad's 02 5.4 Supercrew. One on the hiway and one from a 20-80mph roll on the street. The supercrew had a Superchip programmer, Borla true duals, and drop in K&N filter. Didn't pull too hard against the Chevy V6s though.

Best ET I got out of the Ford was a 16.2@85mph... once again

In other words... 5.4s are slow.
