I use the NGK AFX for tuning because it's so easy to move from car to car. Two wire hookup and it's good to go.

For monitoring while driving, i like the AEM widebands. Only $170 and they're a 2-1/16" gauge, so you can put them in a pod...

My only problem with the ngk is how im going to get the huge connector thru the firewall. Mostly likely it will require removing the wires and repinning. I dont mind the rectangular display.

I have seen articles comparing widenands with the bosch sensor up to 1 point off the reference and the ntk sensor spot on. The compromise on the ntk is that it only reads 9-16 afr.

Log in after tweaking the AC line. There's about 1 mm of clearance to the pipe from the log near the compressor at it's closest point. But the log is wrapped and the Ac line is heavily wrapped in dei cool tape, so it should be okay.

AC line slightly tweaked to clear the turbine housing

Engine coolant tank moved forward by roughly 6-8" providing plenty of clearance. Hood closes just fine with plenty of clearance for the cap (may be specific to the HD hood since it has a higher dome).

And finally test fitting the 5" CAI. Perfect fit and plenty of clearance.

That's all for today, good progress...just taking my time to make sure everything is done correctly. Tomorrow I'll pull the oil pan, tap it and hopefully get the rest of the kit installed.

Looks good man.

That thing should have no problem making 700+ to the tires.

Running it intercooled or no?

Yeah, standard eBay air to air intercooler.

Well I don't make much progress today. Couldn't figure out how to get the oil pan out then I realized that I needed to drop the steering rack (doh).

Then once I got the pan out I found out that my 45/64" drill bit is 1/2" and wont fit in my 3/8" drill And of course everything is closed today. I had a step bit on hand and drill a hole out to 11/16". I'll either go buy a 3/8" bit tomorrow or try and rent a 1/2" drill from HD I guess. I doubt HD will have a 23/32 or 45/64 bit though.

I also started mocking the cold side on the passenger side and it seems like it's going to be a really tight fit with the big coolant hose and the resevoir tank in the way. I'll know more once I actually get the intercooler mounted. The bolts that come with the ebay intercooler aren't long enough to go through the support bar it will be mounted to.

That point where you drilled the pan was a bit too high for me, I drilled mine as close as I could to the sensor. A/c line looks good should be ok with the blanket on. My a/c line is wrapped with tape, and touches the turbo blanket and have had no problems. Looking good.

I really felt comfortable tapping anywhere in that area. In retrospect I suppose I could have tapped a little lower but it really doesn't matter. I'm only tapping the pan such that the inner portion of the drain is just minimally beyond the inner wall of the pan. Sealed with thread sealant it will be perfect.
