My buddy has a 3208 in a 1980 chevy dually. he had to put a body lift on it. maybe 3"? just so the hood would clear the valve covers. Then needing a cowl hood for the air filter. those motors look small in any piece of equipment besides a pickup truck. the crank pulley is about a half inch from the radiator, i know he was going to move the rad to the bed because there is no room for a fan. Id like to see you do it but that really is a big heavy motor!

Aching you have any picks? I know a lot of the old fords I have seen require a body lift. I am prepared to address the hood situation if need be.
I am certain I can shoehorn it in there. Worse case I will not modify anything until I am sure. But when there is a will and a budget. There will always be a way.

For some one on a budget, Why not sale the Cat motor and parts just as you have done with the rest of the stuff from the dump truck and use the money to get a 6.0 replacement????
No head aches and your back on the road in no time.
Just a thought!

seriously, this has to be a joke... No way that damn elephant motor will fit in a denali... Parts of that motor will be sticking out of the hood, poking out the fenders, busting through the dash.... with that much weight over the front end your power steering will probably die, if the steering wheel turns at all....
besides there is zero cool factor in it...
