I feel the same way man.... since December, I've put a whopping total of 496 miles on the truck under its own power. Roughly 120 more on a trailer LOL

the log/turbo comes out fine with the motor, I leave both manifolds on when it comes in/out. makes it so thats one less thing to deal with under the hood where theres less room. I put all the oil lines together out of the truck too, if there are issues, I just have to adjust rather than start from scratch.

Thanks!! I took a lot of time/patience getting it to look like what you see. I hope to have it all in one piece and maybe fired up in about 3 weeks. now that I've got the trans in-hand, I'm going to knock out the crossmember and pull measurements for the driveshaft. since I got the older style 80E, all my trans cooler stuff will swap over. fittings, hoses and 30K cooler.

Got my cold side painted satin black today same paint as the valley/timing covers. Now, hopefully with this rain, the new paint will stay put, I painted it about 5 hrs before it started flooding here looks great though IMO.

After discovering my rear suspension issues (two broken leaf springs) I've had to stop powerplant work and shift my attention to the rear of the truck.

I started setting some of the back exhaust section in place, and I like the looks of it just a big ole raw steel 4" tip where the stock Duramaxes exit at a 45* angle out the back. I will probably end up trimming it back but I'm curious to see what its going to sound like with a "full" exhaust system on it for once...

I'm also selling this 80E for a later model trans. Its up for grabs now cheap if someone wants needs
