Well I figured it out... and you guys are not going to believe it.

It was the frequency of the injectors firing that was sending a pulse through my fuel system and made it break up at 1400 RPM exactly. So god damn bizarre. I had never heard of it before. I have a cousin who is a mechanical engineer and he suggested the idea. At first I told him he was high, however I started to research it... sure enough its an issue. He is a subaru driver and its insanely common in the WRX world at 2800 RPM. I have never heard of this issue in the LS world, but it would figure that I would build the perfect under hood fuel routing to deal with this... god damn it.

I had my fuel system set up dead head as I had all the parts to do so. From my research it wasn't going to be a problem to be set up that way with the flow I needed. To test this theory I added about 9' of length to the dead head line feeding the rails from my FPR and it completely went away.

After uncovering this issue changes were going to have to be made... so I changed the set up. I now feed the back of my passenger rail, cross over in the front to the driver side rail, and out the back of the driver side rail to my FPR. It's no longer dead head. Oddly enough there is more noise transmitting into the cab from the FPR, but it has solved my issues.

On to the next one... I need to get my HX and IC figured out. Not cutting it anymore.

Why did you have it set up in a dead head setup before? The way you described how you fixed it is how it should've been in the first place

I know, that's what I told him. But he was short fittings and likes to create extra work for himself.

Do you think the issue with being dead headed had more to do with your HP level, or just the setup in general? Since I am running the ZL1 fuel rail on my blower setup, it has to be dead headed on a return system. Curious if I would be running into the same issue in the near future.

Dead heading it won't cause the issue by itself, but if the right frequency is present it's gonna magnify it.

Exactly. I had all the parts to dead head in hand... a lot of the guys who build fuel systems for these trucks have stated there is no issue with a dead head so long as the parts are up to the task.

I always end up creating extra work for myself... if Corey wasn't already the self proclaimed resident retard I think I'd have earned the title.

You shouldnt be. As I said in that post, which was probably unclear, I added 9' of line to the dead head feed in order to test this theory and my issue went away.

Exactly as Pat said. You shouldn't have a problem. If you do you know how to fix it lol.

I see what you mean now. I misread the initial post. Thanks for the clarification.

Can we discuss how you keep saying 9' ... meaning 9 feet of hose

Corey might have lost the title
