Little update here... I ordered my converter last monday from Yank. I went with the PT2800 Multi disc. With this little 1900 pushing as much boost as it will it should hit pretty hard off the line. I expect it to get to me around the beginning of next week.
I also ordered another pulley... I won't be able to use it until I make more fuel upgrades. Its a 2.7" RIP cut 8 rib I found on this forum, should net me 12-13# of boost. It's a far cry from where I am today at 5#. I'm really excited to get this all together and start playing this fall!

Next on the list is the wiring for the 80e swap which will happen on 9-14, and a 40k cooler for the new trans as well.

Another update for those following along... its getting down to crunch time. trans swap starts this Friday, I have all the parts in my possession and with any luck it will go smooth.
I'll need a short break in time with the converter, but I could be ready to go as early as this time next week. Track days are Wednesday and Friday at New England Dragway.
Yank it and get off quicker. I have high hopes for this sucker. The closer to a 1.60 60' I can get the happier I'll be. I dont think I'll be anywhere near that on night 1, but thats the goal.

My machined NVG149 input shaft - the last piece of the puzzle.

I'll have a lot of pictures from this weekend I'm sure. Kurt (twolow02Fransen) is going to be helping me out (thank god... I wouldnt want to tackle this alone.)

That's the pulley I'm using on my setup. It works good. You might get a bit of slip though. Mine slips about a pound of boost from 5200-5800rpms but catches back up by 6000. It's an old belt, though.
The transfer case swap is simple. In fact, the transmission swap is pretty straighforward in general.

The pulley does seem to work really well. I haven't done the full 8 rub swap yet, but the HD tensioner and this pulley seem to work great even with the 6 rib. I can't stay in it long enough to really find out with my stock fuel pump... but I'll be able to tell you all more next week.
