Two walbro 450 pumps must draw some serious voltage because once my second one comes on the exterior and interior lights dim. Both are wired directly to the alt on racetronix hotwire kits. 145 alt

I think at 90psi they draw close to 22 amps each, at 0psi its around 14amps each. So yea if you are racing at night, you got headlights, injectors, spark coils, radio, fuel pumps, computer, possibly meth pump, possibly intercooler pump...people often neglect the electrical load and it is significant when you start adding a bunch of stuff.

If you are wondering how to run a second set of wires into the tank they make bulk head fittings for wires in fuel tanks. I had one that came in the EZ efi kit for my blazer that I didnt use and it worked for me. I just made my own hot wire kit. I ran wires from where the factory relay goes (in your case run the wires to the factory relay while its still in the fuse fox) to a seperate 40 amp relay

Also, very important post.

Looks like maybe a Fragola electrical bulkhead? I'm thinking about doing the same thing to mine with the XFI controlling the pump. Instead of trying to figure out which factory pin and relay. Just run new, heavier gauge wire with a solid state relay.

Ive already done that. I will use those wires for the 450, and the factory power source for the 255.
