a couple of pics...
truck at paint... I am probably most excited about this part of the build... This painter has 5 cover trucks in the last two years for street scene, and truckin'... he has painted the last 3 rock star energy drink SEMA cars (scions) and is painting their next two sema car for 2009 (after my truck)... His name is Jerry from JERK DESIGNS... he paints a ton of bike tins, a lot for the socal HA's... He works on one project at a time, so i've waited almost 5 months for an opening. Here is a recent cover truck he painted 100%, inside and out... (a little too crazy for my taste, but the guy has skills)

another...

Here is the progress on mine...
Shaved handles...

Jerry

rollpan welded in...

Oh yea, Im ditching my current tonneau cover for a new one... more on that later.
Got a new smooth billet fuel door(no lock), which will be color matched.
The bottom blue is getting re-painted again too... engine compartment is getting painted black, he fully wrapped the motor with plastic, so we can paint around it.
Once the truck is back at my shop, we are taking off the calipers and color matching them - Blue with silver for the letters...
genuine silver leaf (paper thin sheets) will also be incorporated into the separation graphic between the blue and silver... a pinstripe design on the hood and tailgate to finish it off... all of which under several coats of clear. Like I said before I am really excited about this part of the build, all except the cost, dont ask...

BTW - This is my 777 post... that's gotta be a good sign!
The build goes on...
