I seen the post as to what they were using. Honestly I don't know how they didn't make more power with it even as is. The ports were what I was pointing out and on a bigger inch engine they are certainly a restriction and possibly why that 416 didn't make more even with almost no boost. If it was only a pulley setup issue with their truck than they'd have been just putting on pulleys and not pulling the blower back off to wait for a whole new and different custom setup. I'm not sure what you'd posted that you had to edit from your post but I'm sure it was something nice. From what I'd read of Dave's build as it's been going on 14-16psi or so had been mentioned. You yourself posted that the H2 setup would be good for only 12-13psi on the 416 with a 10 rib and a 2.9" pulley. That's a smaller engine with little to no porting on the heads.

With all that being said though I have no doubt that if your calculations aren't satisfactory that you will take care of him. I'm not here to insult Dave, Magnacharger, or you. He has a beautifull truck he's building and really is building the engine right. I do feel that the TVS2300 is the right choice for this truck as it will not only give it the bad *** look, but it's also going to make big power. Magnacharger does a very good job of delivering top notch product and you do a great job of trying to keep the customers happy. There isn't much else to it really. I simply posted a link to a similar build with someone using the port design that I thought shouldn't be used on a big build like this.

Might not be what you are trying to do, but you do a good job at it. Magna Charger has its reasons for going this route.....we will stick to our plans and change course if necessary.

FYI, that is the ONLY port design we have for this particular set up. It was well known that hand porting was needed to get the flow back up.

Brian and I, and our wives, all went to dinner tonight, (thanks big guy), then went back to his place and talked extensively about the build - the calculations are in - with my setup I will see around 12psi, if the math is correct from the R&D dept at MC. If for whatever reason this falls short, we will go with the jackshaft style of SC and run 16+ psi... but since we are so close with this setup, we will continue on the current path to see how it performs.
Im in good hands, they (brian and the guys at MC - garrett, Simon, Bob, Dave, etc) have all been super helpful, even though at times i get fustrated... which brings me to another point -
anyone who has built something this extensive has gone through headaches, period... it is to be expected, and like one of my football coaches told me one day in preseason camp, if it were EASY, everyone would do it...

The FYI on the ports was what I at this point was aware of. My point to it was if you are selling the TVS2300's as off road use only kits and they will likely be going on bigger inch and bigger dollar builds like Daves you are leaving it up to the customer to remove that material. A good example is the H2. Why they put that blower on with those ports and even bothered to run it with a 3.4" pulley on it is beyond me other than to try to insult your product. That's where the problem comes in, that's how it was shipped to them. With how rare the 2300's are at this point wouldn't it be easier to remove the material before it leaves or note it with the kit that over a certain power level it must be removed? That is more of a question or comment from me, not directed as an insult as it seems to be taken.

If you're feeling insulted on something else I'm not sure why. I've recomended your products over the years, installed, and worked on them. Most of our disagreements have been when information is right there in front of us and I say something to the obvious. I'm suddenly the a**hole for pointing it out. Your calculations for this truck are 12psi of boost and you couldn't have said this a while ago when you knew this? If I'd have said that he only be making about 12psi with this setup I'd have been flamed by you like I was insulting the product and didn't know what I was talking about. I don't know why we have to argue like this so much. Maybe it's just the fun we have between us.

Sending PM...

I aplogize to Dave, Magnacharger, and Brian for insulting them.
