Motor had to go to the machine shop again for some more work
I should start the assembly next week, so I was told...
my motor isnt being delayed because of me... I am waiting on parts and schedule of other people... I have the money and means to get this all done NOW, but i have to be patient and wait for the 2300 (next week) and Rex to clear his schedule...
Hopefully the assembly starts very soon... (sigh)
as far as a g2g at my new shop, I spoke to my lil' bro Julien (spoolin') yesterday and he says he will be off ship in March, so it will be when he gets back.
I am still waiting to hear within the next few hours if I get the new shop... :crossed:

Ok... now that the holidays are finished, the build is back on track.
Just got the block back today from yet another machine shop... more work done... and also installed a set of Dura Bond Cam bearings...
Fluoropolymer Composite Coated Bearings
And this is a statement from their website...
This dry lubricant actually penetrates the surface where it has been applied. The primary advantage is that bearings with FLUOROPOLYMER Composite Coating retain engine oil on the surface, even under extreme heat and pressure conditions.
Being a lubricant itself, the coating provides secondary (back-up) lubrication in the event that momentary oil starvation occurs. This characteristic is especially important during start-up because oil does not reach all critical components immediately.
Rex is cleared to start the assembly this week and hopes to have the entire engine built by mid next week! I will be spending my days taking pics starting Wednesday... he will mock up the engine, have it sent out for balance and then assemble it all when it gets back.
I picked up a can of Chevy Orange engine paint, as we are going to repaint the block... these dont come very clean from the factory. As it being an LSX block, I am sticking with the Chevy orange...
stay tuned for more pics!
