Ok so finished up a couple of odds and ends and took her on the first official road test...
OMFG!!

This thing is WICKED and SCARY... holy **** it was SURREAL driving it. The power, sound, stance, the response it got from people on the street - if I wanted to attract attention I sure accomplished that omg. I took simon on the first trip to the has station... the minute I got to the gas station guys were coming up and checking it out, asking to see the engine... the cog on the blower whines under any throttle whatsoever - im sure the guys with cog drives can vouch for this.
It felt great to take it out - it was dark out so I didnt go far, I plan to take it to a local show and shine tomorrow afternoon.
Unfortunately my passenger window has to be replaced... the painter installed the right door actuator too far to the left, and when the window lowers all the way down it hits/rubs... I hit the button to lower it, and it clicked into auto and went all the way down - and broke the glass lol... luckily the window stayed in tact due to tint, but I have to replace it... I found a local show who can fix it tomorrow with new glass for $160 - the painter said he will pay me back for it. Damn it!
I hope to get some video tomorrow.

Good to hear you're finally getting to drive it. Sometimes if you go too long without driving them you get tired of the build and end up hating the truck before it's done. I'm sure it was nice just to be behind the wheel of it again besides the power, etc.

yea lets do it, call me when youre done with your realtor...
I got 35 miles on her today, ripping around. Gave my dad a ride in it... told me he knew of a local car show and that we should cruise by, which we did. My dad couldnt get over how loud the blower and exhaust are... this is NOT a subtle truck by any means.
At the local car show (in a random parking lot lol) we drove by and got on it a little - we got lots of stares and thumbs up - i could see pops was diggin it.
Brian and his wife came by in the Blown Challenger and we went to a different local car show, about 3 blocks from my shop and hung out for a couple hours... got some great feedback. Im starting to finally enjoy the truck... which I wasnt sure I would happen after all of the headaches along the way. Custom ****, custom problems...
Installing the caltracs this week, couple of more **** before SEMA... speaking of which I got the official word yesterday -
My truck will be INSIDE the convention, not in the parking lot somewhere... Im glad about that. Got some more great news - my wifes company is gonna be there, along with 600 of their managers and supervisors from all over the country (my wife is a personal assistant to the owner of Harbor Frieght tools) well they are paying for our room and food! Her birthday is that week so we'll be partying our asses off...
VEGAS BABY, VEGAS
Im still trying to arrange for transportation for my truck, if anyone can help in this area, or knows someone going who has room on a truck or has a trailer for rent, let me know...
