between drinking and working i forget to take pictures. here's what i did get. I'm happy w the color of the valve covers and valley cover.. all of the accessories will be the same color.

Looking good bit that air cleaner needs to be replaced

why does the air cleaner need to be replaced? aside from it not fitting because it drops down lol. it looks like i need to get either a flat air cleaner base or slightly raised to work with this carb and the bracket i got the dropped version thinking it would help with hood clearance. i have a feeling the stock hood isnt guna clear it all.

 

The air cleaner needs to go because it looks like ***. The motor looks bad *** but yOu have crappy lookin filter sitting on top of it.

 

Recomendations? Im new to this carbed **** so i dont know whats out there.

 

I would use a filter that has the top pleated as well like some of the K&N filters. Been proved they make more power.

 

The K&N top one or one that is completely flat.


Btw, i am just giving you a hard time but seriously replace the top.

Did you get the cam gear issue resolved?

I have 58x 3 bolt gears in stock if you need one. Not sure if you're going 24x or 58x.

PS, took a quick look at it. Looks like 07-09 LS2 TBSS had single bolt cams as well...I was not aware of this.
