over ordering parts as in, tired of paying to build something that i cant even hop into to drive around town. it's been around the block 2 or 3 times...i never took it far because it never had a rear diff cover or fluid on the rear end. the shocks were bottomed out, the transmission only had reverse and 2nd gear due to a lack of a transmission controller. yes...i'm still over ordering parts, but i can actually see myself driving it to the alignment rack on satuday. the shop i'm taking it to will jack up the front slightly to simulate going down the drag strip when they align it. cant wait to see the looks i get driving to the rack with a choppin *** s10 with open longtubes. as long as i don't get any funny looks from the police. i guess it's time to get insurance. my car collection is starting to cost the hell out of me on insurance. the HD, avalon, s10, scion and RZR.

 

Yea I only have two vehicles and I still cringe when I think about insurance for both of them. This truck is going to be worth the wait for sure man. Can't wait to see what it does at the track. You thinking 9 seconds some day?

 

9's on street tires is my goal. one thing i hated about the silverado was hauling a jack out to the track, removing my street setup for slicks, taking off the tailgate, sometimes i removed the passenger and rear seat along with the trailer hitch, put on a short belt, removed the filter etc....

i want to drive this truck to the track, tech in and make a 9 second pass. then drive it home without ever getting out of the damn truck. i want to run it on the strip EXACTLY how i drive it on the street. we will see how that goes
