Looking good stew, those tires are sweet. Those are the same style tire I'm going to order for the 15x10's I have for the stang, but in a 275/50-15. I just put the slicks&tubes up for sale, as soon as they sell I'll be oredring them.

Yay, be different! I vote plasti-dip and if you don't like it, just rip it off.

the 96 front end is ugly to me and it only took me a year of watching craigs list to find a good deal. this morning i picked up a core support from an 03 s10 along with a grille and billet insert. the grill had some road rash and scars, but no cracks and no missing parts. i left it with my onsite body/paint guy and he had it back to me an hour later looking new. wish i had pictures of the "before" damage, but here it is all prettied up. he did a bang up job for a fair price (free lol). had a few goughes, scuffes and rashes. most of it wet sanded out and a few spots had to be filled. i'll rattle can it temporarily until it is ready to go to the paint booth to be painted to match the truck.

i'm heading to ebay now to find some headlights and signals. all of this mechanical and wiring work to be done and i'm distracting myself with cosmetics! i think i'm just burnt out on that stuff for now. SS mirrors are also on the way to get rid of this OEM mickey mouse **** that's going on.

taking my time doing it right i became VERY familiar with my cut off wheel this weekend. the upper shroud cover is now clean and i havent decided if i'm going to leave the 2.2 sticker on top of the core or not.

Looking good Stew !! Yeah the newer front grille / light setup you got is the way to go !

I had installed a street scene speed grille insert on my 99 ZR2 and it looked pretty good IMO , are you going to do any inserts ?

oh that manny. i knew that. i was thinking of the s10 cage that went through the inside of the bed.

a lot of time spent on the project today, but you can't tell lol. lots of surface rust to wash/sand off. tons of cutting, lots of washing parts and painting parts. the fender wells have been scrubbed down and repainted black. the core support looks brand new now. my neighbor thought i went and bought a new core support for the truck lol. i had to cut a **** ton out of each fender to get them to fit with these headers. i was going to run without them, but didnt like how you could see the firewall with bolt holes where the fender wells should mount. right now i'm working on painting the grill and while paint is drying i got the passenger fender well and fender mounted. this thing has a ton of bolts holding it together. things have changed a **** ton with chevy since the mid 90's. back then it was all metal and bolted together. now it's cheezy *** plastic clips holding plastic together.
