Just so you know what your looking at here.....Smart-Tech™ Input Housing Kit pictured below. Sonnax - Aftermarket replacement transmission, torque converter, and high performance automotive parts Will be upgraded with one of my billet over run pistons and sleeve kits instead of using the one supplied from sonnax. This will allow us to use a steel bonded forward piston instead of a factory aluminum 700R4 piston that is known for cracking.

come on with it. it's at a stoppping point right now until i get some more parts in....ive got some small things to do but nothing major at all. my manton 7.800 pushrods made it in today and the flex plate and ARP flex plat bolts that corey donated are here. but those are both 1 man jobs. an extra hand with the transmission would be sweet!

It's looking good Stew! I'm eager to see all these new 60E parts in action, tearing up the strip.

had a 4 day weekend and didnt get much done . got the water pump painted up and installed. The alternator bracket that i have was modified to fit the fast 90mm intake but a buddy here on the forum is willing to trade a stocker for my modified bracket so i held off on painting and getting it on. also, my cheap *** pulley puller broke when i tried to get the pully off of the power steering pump. one day ill get some pulley pullers from somewhere besides harbor freight.

I decided to have the long side of my 8.8 cut down so went out to the pickin yard over the weekend and scored a right side axle from a 96 explorer. need a trac-loc rebuild kit and new spring perches before dropping it off at the shop that will cut it down for me.

vince sent this to me this morning.

Nice!! Hey did you get the bracket modified? I did it a different way when i had the ls6 intake. Basically it is a pulley from a vette that you mount to one of the holes in the bracket with a lomger bolt and some washers behind it. You can have it if you need it.

i used the same method when using the ls6 and fast 92mm intake but used a much shorter belt routing. if i have the room, id rather just run an OEM belt routing. traded my modified alt bracket for a stocker today. i will cut off the portion where the power steering pump.

got my leaf spring sliders tonight. just waiting on my clutch kit and spring perches before sending out the rear end to be narrowed. i should have my Vince B LVL69 transmission in by the end of the weekend along with the flex plate and bolts that you donated. i'll prolly pull the OEM fuel system this weekend too.

having a celebration beer now. some things make it feel like you're actually accomplishing something. got the trans crossmember completely bolted in today and finally dropped the cab back down to the frame. all of the a/c **** wouldnt fit with these headers. i removed it for now and will get a sheet of aluminum cut to clean up the fire wall. i still plan to run A/C and heat on this truck...it will just have to be something besides the OEM stuff. we put a vintage air system on my dads 32 coupe and it will freeze you out! and is VERY clean under the hood too. i may end up going that route. anyways
