Dang didnt realize its been this long since i posted updates but here goes
i got the 80e in the ls6 cam and springs in was doing the oil pump then i dropped the pickup tube bolt in the pan....so off came the pan so i figured why not check bearings while im down here. Felt one that i thought was loose so out came the motor and a complete refresh with a low mile 5.3 new bearings and rings Name: 2013-04-08_04-02-54_523_zps91458e0a.jpg

Well since the motor should be good for boost i sold the ls6 cam and springs and went with a little bigger bump stick. I went online to speed inc was planning on a tu1 cam but seen their brand new tu1.5 so why not. 228/228 571/571 112lsa. Figured i would try it. So sin ce i have a nice healthy cam why not a nice healthy intake. So another trip only and a week later there was a elderbrock proflo at my door steep. Which really leaves me were im at now. Minus blowing money on looks this is updated lol
