Winter put a beating on this thing, I pressure washed the frame, wire brushed it and gave it a fresh coat of satin black. The stainless exhaust I guess is cheaper stainless i guess and is tarnished brown, I sanded it and prepped it. Then painted the tail pipes with flat silver high temp por15. Looks alot better, not my favorite option but it worked. After that I used Adams clay and went over every body panel, waxed and spray waxed it too. Looks 10 times better all cleaned up. Plus I look like I was at the beach from doing it, nothing like being close to sunburn in april..lol.

Its probably 409 stainless, which is the same as the factory stainless exhaust and will rust.

You probably right, that would be why the exhaust was only 350.00 at the time.
If that's the case then one of two things will happen, ill just have to keep after it or ill have new tails made that dump behind the trailer hitch so you can't see them. Its a shame to have it all cleaned up and see rusty pipes.

The iat sensor was reading 284 all the time making a check engine light come on, I've been putting it off but it was time. Pulled the blower, wiggled it out between the ports and connected a new harness. The magnuson directions have u tap into the maf wiring and run the 2 wires across the motor to it. I removed that and plugged it in to the main harness right next to the sensor. No more long harness to get pulled. The sensor and pigtail are gm so they were easy to get and cheap from the dealer.

Thru data logs I run out of maf over 4k rpms. So instead of running speed density , idea of keeping it maf tuned is in mind. A 100mm lingenfelter maf was suggested, ( ^ that guy). I found one on ebay, never used for 100.00 less than they are new so it worked out good. I'm impressed with the quality and it being machined from aluminum. I put it on today with a velocity stack and 6 inch cone filter. So far it seems to be working out really well. I can't thank you enough pat....

Since the beginning changing to a walbro 450 and using a boost referance regulator i have had problems with fuel pressure under boost. Tuning Its always been on the rich side and the base pressure set at 58 only ever went to 62. With the base turned to 52 it only went to 58ish. My tunes were always adjusted around the strange pressure and the rich conditions. I changed the fuel filter style to a aeromotive element style and that didn't make it any different.

Now that i have more boost and hp tuners everything's been looked over and its time to fix the fuel system. So i swapped out the filter element and no change. I removed the aeromotive 13129 regulator and replaced it with a fuel lab 25-90 boost referance regulator. At first start up at the same base pressure everything is lean, with the tune adjusted with the fuel put back in to where it should be its back to almost perfect. Under boost now i see fuel pressure almost where it should be. At 10 psi i see 64-65. Never did i see pressure that high before.

My intake air temps have been a little on the high side, under heavy boost they go up pretty fast. Never realized until I had hp tuners how fast they go up. So I had locally a new heat exchanger made, this one is 2 inches thick 26 wide and 11 inches tall. Over 3 times the surface area than the stock magnuson. It fit perfectly under the hood catch and the whole area gets good air flow.

My brother removed a supercharger from a customers truck last month, since he was selling it. The guy had a 2.55 smooth flow pulley on it. He picked it up pretty cheap and mailed it to me. It's a bust, seemed to make boost sooner but build heat faster, no more air flow and not really make any more boost than my 2.7 from lc32. I'd like to try a smaller pulley like a grip tec 2.6 after i get a little better cooling system for the 1900 besides my intercooler. The stock magnuson reservoir doesn't cut it. I also had the exhaust cut apart, a jones x pipe welded in and a magnaflow 6 inch round x 20 muffler added in in each side. This removed all the rasp and made the exhaust deeper and super quiet. So now its a total of 4 mufflers and an x-pipe to quiet the 3 inch dual exhaust.

Few small items coming in the next few days, nothing fancy but i hope to see at least some results. A ported ls2 90 mm throttle body from peak speed shop, bob was really nice to deal with and shipped it pretty quick. A larger coolant reservoir from trick turbo, rick shipped a tank out within minutes of paying...pretty awesome service. Last from summit racing is all the -12 an fittings, heater hose etc to plumb in the reservoir. Hope to see cooler hx temps and better throttle response. To get the tuning right and where it all should be i can't thank pat enough for everything and for having patience with me. I will have pics of the throttle body when i put it on in the afternoon.

.........So far i have about 2k miles on the 4l80e and the precision converter, both work flawless and in the 90 plus degree weather the temps stay below 150 with my tru cool. Hand down a great job from mark on the trans..!! The mighty mouse catch can is also doing a great job. Its catching alot more than the old setup, The moisture alone was alot in the cold days.
