I was going for the airplane cockpit look

She started up on the first try after almost 5 months of sleeping! Only thing I havent done is hooked up my boost controller solenoid, which should be a 5 minute job. With that said im having problems building boost...or maybe not. First time out on the interstate and I was going 90mph with 25% throttle and still pulling vacuum. This thing is going to scream once I get her tuned up.

On a separate note, the 4 point harness im using isnt kidding around. Once you buckle that thing you arent moving anywhere; I couldnt even release the parking brake and had to use my foot instead.

I'm new to this forum. And started reading your build thread. Got to page 20. Then said **** I can't wait I gotta see how she turned out. Beautiful truck there. She sounds good to.
And you don't always use ur foot to let go of the brake?? Hahaha. Nice truck. I can't wait to see her get tuned. And actually run at the track.

this is good to see it finally moving around with stuff coming together. take your time and tune it right so it will last plenty of blasts down the track. whats a realistic goal, mid 9's?

You didn't install the factory style retractors on your harness? Big downside to a 4/5 point is once you are in, you are in! The few guys I know that have run them on the street only use the lap belt wile driving on the street.

Can you tell us how to hook something like that up??? How would you attach the aftermarket harness to the Lap belt???

Well since I am not using factory seats I cant use the factory lap belt since it is integrated into the seats. In the aftermarket 4 points the shoulder straps are attached to the lap belt...

I was kidding about the retractor if that is what you are talking about.

If you are talking about useing just the lap belt, I was talking about only using the lap belt from the 4 point. Simply omit the sholder straps and you are much more confertable for daily use. If I am correct not all harnesses can do this because some of them require the sholder straps to latch properly.

I also know a guy with a mustang who has the factory belt still in the car along with the harness. He just bought the car so I don't know if he is leaving it like that but it would be nothing to install an aftermarket lap belt into the truck if you can't use the lap belt from the harness.

Nice to see this thing moving under its own power. All you needed was to see how quickly Jake got his to run to get you motivated enough to finish it.
