I think if you have the power and converter then its a good move... If it weren't for this turbo build I probably wouldn't have done it. I am glad now that I have.... Next is the true-trac

with that converter 3.42s would still be good.. I tuned my buddys 07 that has a 5.3 and 3.23s.. shifting at 6000rpms 2-3 was at 104mph.. didn't get to check the speedo with GPS but it can't off by much.
mine shifts 2-3 at 5800 and that's 93mph.. gotta love the 80E..
I can't wait for you to get that kit and move back to east TX.. I wanna come check it out then.

So on this thought do you think 4.11's are too much on just motor with a stock converter? I was thinking about going 4.11's when I did my rear but I keep seeing stories about people going back. I realize a turbo was involved here but you should also have an idea about all motor... So 3.73, 3.90 or 4.11? BTW I will be running a 125-150 shot for a while but sometime in the future a turbo is in the works...

Jonathan, I'm already back in east tx. You should come out my way for the install party lol. I touched base with Kyle today and fabrication of my kit should be in full swing.

Carey, I traded the rear, now its in that Z71... There should be some pics up soon.

Kevin, I'm going to just see how this things going to act, who knows, it may be up for sale soon.

Aarolar, I had a 150 shot on this truck for a long time and if I had to do it again, I'd go with some 3.90s.... Just my preference.

Jordan.... The beer will be cold bro... Just let me know.

Well the job market here actually isn't that bad, its just the nature of what I do. I'm never out of work for more than a week unless I choose to...When a job winds down, they let a ton of ppl go. This time I have chosen fishing over 12hr work days ill probably give them a call and go back on Monday.

I know the kit will probably add quite a bit of weight back to the truck but I'm shooting to keep it under 4050 from where it is now... I'm just shooting for solid 11s out if the 130K mile 5.3... Traction will be the next hurdle as always... Caltracs and some good size slicks hopefully cure that though.
