I have one that is supposed to have 180K on it. Definitely nicer than the 227K one I ended up rebuilding so I believe the milage is real.

what were the tire load indices versus GVWs versus air pressures on the trailers? that'll make all the difference in how it pulls/rides.

my only point was that most commercial places just max out the tire inflation so that they don't get tagged like the Ford / Firestone incident with Explorers & Excursions.

having the tires at max pressure without max weight on them will make it ride like a brick - just the same as driving with 80psi in your truck with an empty bed / no trailer.

and out of curiosity: what's your tread depth measure from inside to outside?

my dodge equivalent to your truck weighs 8000lb total in daily configuration, and i run my 129 load index tires at 55psi front / 45psi rear. the guys at Discount with their laser depth tools tell me at every 5000mi rotation that mine are all wearing evenly across. with 48k miles on these Yokohamas, i've still got ~11/32" left.

I need to buy a depth gauge. But then it will just sit on my toolbox because I don’t have a spot for it so I haven’t bought one.
