Yes, L96 is 2007+ only. Everything older is a 24x motor.

Yes, the cylinder heads must come off to remove the lifters.

Correct, the AFM/DoD lifters have springs on them, the other 8 lifters are normal style lifters with no springs.

Head gaskets and head bolts should be replaced. People do re-use stock TTY bolts but that's up to you. Exhaust manifold bolts are less than 10 bucks at a napa, I would buy new ones.

I'm starting to think that the lifter w/ the spring and is longer thus the lobes on the cam are shorter making these springed lifters exclusive to DOD engines.

it doesn't make good sense to replace springed lifters that are known to be problematic.

if all lifters where regular this would require a regular cam correct? I still have my stock LS1 cam (if it has tiny rust spec can it be reused maybe sanded rust spots)?

edit: whats the odds 9 outof 10 times in a engine missfire like this the broken part is the lifter w/ the spring? and w/ the head allready pulled it would be recommended to replace all 4 on this side of engine?

Dude... youre replacing the motor. Forget about whatever is in the 5.3. Its no longer relevant. Use the hardware that COMES in the gen 4 6.0 and don't look back.

Focus on deleting DOD in your tune and youre golden...

Just spit balling here but 80-100whp extra seems do-able. Maybe just under 400whp through the AWD system on stock boost level, again just a random guess.

The LY6 has slightly less cubes than an LSA does, but it also has more compression. If you pulley it to make 8-10psi you will definitely make the same power the stock LSA does.

550 crank is what I would expect in the 9-10psi range.

what amount of boost w/ the stock ZL1 pulley?

is the ZL1 supercharger the same as the Cadillac CTV-S.

I'v read used stock fuel rails to fit the SC are around $300. are aftermarket FRs less expensive?

I think on a truck with a truck balancer it's like 6-8psi.

Pulley size should be the same if you were to buy a used one.

The ZR1 fuel rail cost me like $250 from a dealership when I was going to do a swap like that a while ago. A ZL1/CTS-V rail is around that $270-300 range new as well.

The aftermarket LSA rails are like $400-800 last time I checked. I know of 2 places that make them, one being Olsen Kustom Works.

took delivery this morning dang this Saab is nice on inside but seats hard as a rock.

found valve lifter tick cylinder #1 found exhaust leak near block are the manifolds known to crack?

I tested the trans in long driveway the man is always steaking out each end of road and I haven't registered it, it shifts fine reverse works ,AC blows cold

my initial starting of Saab dash instruments seam to have a selfcheck before starting.

the battery is dead I removed to charge now cant remove ignition key from ignition is this normal?

will remove valve cover/ start engine observe/note failed lifter

next most important thing dash cup holder has no bottom.

the driver side appears accesable sparyed WD40 on header bolts.

edit this vehicle lowers the rear itself about 8" when turned off is this OEM or aftermarket air bags?

will these air bags act as load levelers when towing?

how to turn off rear windshield wiper?

Usually the bolt's break in the head on the exhaust manifold and cause an exhaust leak.

The rest I don't know.
