What cam would you guys suggest to run in my truck if I buy a on3 turbo kit ? From what I read, a smaller cam is the way to go just not sure what to get ?

Looks like a fun project. I agree def easier to work on than diesels cheaper too. Not that i dont like duramax bit i prefer gas.good luck with build. Hopefully you didnt end up with cracked heads or castech castings.

Yeah it actually has been a fun project, and thanks a lot. Diesels are cool and all but I think I'm over the fad to make them fast, MOT in my area are cracking down hard on modded diesels.

Got the heads back yesterday, they came back good. All my gaskets and bolts came in today. Tmr dad an I are putting it back together and hoping it all goes smooth. After it's running truck is getting fresh cab corners and rockers and it's ready for the road !

Well, did alright today. Got the heads on and all torqued down. All we have left is the intake, plug everything back in and flush the rad a few times.

Well trucks running great, pretty happy with the outcome . Dad an I started on the cab corners, one is welded in. Starting to look pretty good for a shitty old work truck.

This week I'm going to start the drivers side, get all the rot cut out. Next weekend I plan on cleaning up the frame and painting it. Also got the check engine light off, so it'll pass e test now. It's starting to come a long, need a few more parts here and there, also would like to pick up a decent sounding muffler.

I would have love to do some performance stuff but after doing my taxes, I owe the lovely government $840.

Thats a bummer. A lot that can be done with $800. Great progress so far.

Oh I know eh, it sucks but what do you do.

Rockers and cab corners are welded in, have to finish those up this weekend. I also picked up some new brake line, and I finally picked up my 4l80e. I plan on gathering some parts for it this summer, I'm pretty much sold on the on3 kit so after are wedding I'm going to buy that also.

Oh your not far from me at all. I think I saw your truck at the silver willow classic one year, it looked good and sounded healthy. We should meet up sometime.
