Wow... thats not a 3200 Yank. Not even close.

I know I have an 80e and a blower... but this is my yank PT2800MD. It comes off the line hard so the tach is deceiving but I log 2800 slip in HPTuners. You should see a similar effect in your converter though.

Also I just put an FTI 278mm 3000 rpm stall in my DD and it will jump just north of 3000 RPM off the line as well. Did it say PT3200 on the side of the converter when you put it in? Did someone pull the wool over your eyes and sell you a factory converter painted red? lol Hell my TB converter used to stretch out further than that!

I pulled the Trans from an f body here at the shop and the guy said I could keep the Trans for gettin his car back on the road cuz he was broke and I didn't have the space to store while I waited. I had him pay his parts bill and I ate the labor and got a decent core with a "yank 3200" so I'm only out time on it and I went through the Trans and put new od and third clutches in it. It a legit monster Trans, the converter was questionable but I'd figure I'd toss it in. I just didn't want to sink a ton of money into a 60 knowing it's gonna see boost soon so with purchase of used converter I may have 7-800 invested in this 60. But ya next month I'll swap em out I almost wonder if it's a trailblazer converter... It's black. Who know there were no markings on it so it could be China's finest too who knows. Lol

All Yank converters are red. It looks to me like a stock piece based on the video.

Ok so I put an order in for a 3200-3400 billet hub multi-disk converter from Circle D.
My set up comes alive at about 3400 I was kinda on the fence o goin to the next level of 3500-3600 but thought I would compromise as I still do tow some. What you guys think? Cost is the same but worried about the extra heat. I'm also gonna do a 40k btu cooler too anyone have any suggestions or brands/ part number or links.

Chris @ circle d recomended the 3200-3400 converter because I gross almost 13k when I pull the enclosed trailer and it's pretty much a parachute as well he was worried with the loose converter it would build too much heat. He did say that you can command the lock up in third gear to hold longer and to lock up in third.

So anyone have experience with this? I'm not a tuner... Anyone else tow heavy enclosed trailers with 3600+ stalled 4l60e?

Right choice on circle d, stay with a tighter converter.

Ya I've ran a few of there converters, became a dealer for them and have no complaints yet. I just don't mod a lot of trucks. Gotta start somewhere I guess.

Be careful with your lock settings. I wouldn't lock it up while heavy on the throttle pulling that weight.

Locking in 3rd and holding 3rd longer is really simple to accomplish though.

Ya I'm gonna go though the Trans before the converter goes in and have everything checked. It's been real hot for long periods of time when pullin. It dosent slip other than the converter and it only does this with a loaded trailer. With an empty one it's just fine. Soo strange..
