Since you have both them both going to breathers and not to the intake you will not have any tuning issues... So you don't have to worry about that.

Congrats on getting it running!!!!

Yup yup!! So Henry wrote me a basic tune and DC_Justin took a quick look at it and sent it back to me saying it looked good and it should do the trick for the time being. I don't have EFILive so Reynaldo came by since he was in the area and he helped flash the tune in the truck. At first the truck wouldn't start but I noticed the Security light was going nutso so I figured the VATS were on full alert. Reynaldo turned them off and the truck fired right up, and I immediately shut it off because I saw 0 oil pressure.
I had previously pulled the fuel pump fuse and cranked the motor over for about 30 seconds trying to get some oil up in the engine before I lit it off but apparently I didn't crank it over enough. So anyways, Reynaldo figured we should let the truck run for at least 10 seconds and see if the pressure comes up. Started it back up and sure enough the oil pressure rose to 40psi within 5-7 seconds. So Truck idled for a few minutes and got up to temp and then we went to do a crank re-learn. There were a few misfires during the attempt and after the crank relearn the truck wouldn't idle. Reynaldo messed with the TB calibration tables and some idle tables and eventually the PCM got to learning and now she idles fairly well in P/N. When I put her into gear I need both feet because she'll die right down!!
I still need to put some additional oil in the tranny (have about 6.5 qts right now) but other than that she's about ready to get her tuning in order. I have a video of it but will download it later tonight, I am heading down to put the hood on it and possible the bed. Then I gotta get some gas tonight when the cops aren't around and then I can start the process of learning to tune.!

But the best thing is there are no Fuel, Oil, or Coolant leaks as of yet. She runs on 8 cylinders, there aren't any codes or check engine lights on so at this point it means that I haven't messed up too terribly bad on the install!!

Sweet!!! At some point I plan on going open loop but for now, as I'm learning I'll be taking it one table at a time!

Well I thought about sitting around on my *** all day feeling content but I want to clean up my damn garage so in order to do that I had to finish assembling the truck sooo...

I put her in gear and...SHE MOVED!!!

And I also put the hood back on which miraculously fit!! I thought the intake tube was gonna hit the hood but surprisingly it didn't!!

Decided that I was gonna put the bumper on before I put the bed on thinking it was gonna be easier, and it was but I ran into a complication later on that I wasn't expecting but...

I also bought a Motorcycle rack and thought that it would be easier to mount it while the bed was off than when it was on and fear hitting a fuel line or something...which knowing me I would of done!!
This is what I bought and mounted...

By the way...what is this this metal skid plate which runs along the passenger side under the bed for? Seems like a waste of metal and can't really think of what it's protecting, Is it like a heat shield for where the stock exhaust runs? ...

Well regardless, I drilled through it! I thought about cutting/popping it off but I didn't have the energy or time since it was getting late and I'm sure my neighbors wouldn't want to hear the air tools as this time of day!

Here are the holes...

And here it is mounted!! Now I can drive my bike up into my bed and it will stay standing so I can strap the thing down and nor will it push up against the back of the bed and dent it, which happened to a buddy of mine who hauled his bike around and now his bed is twisted pretty good!! ...

Next came the bed itself, up she goes...

So here's where I ran into the problem with the bumper...the cherry picker couldn't move forward all the way to be able to drop the bed down over the holes in the frame with the bumper there...so I jacket up the back of the cherry picker and layed it up on top of the bumper!!

So anywho, got the bed bolted up and the tailgate back on and I risked getting a ticket and pulled out of my complex and went to get some gas!!

I parked her in the back of the gas station and let her run for a good 15 minutes and checked and re-checked all the fluids, filled up the tranny with more as I ran her through all the gears, also turned the heater on to hopefully drain any air out of the coolant system. She seems to idle ok after she's given some time to adjust. Until I give her more attention in the tuning department I think this is as good as she's gonna run...and DAMN IS IT LOUD!! Luckily I'm only 8.8:1, can't imagine what a 11:1 engine would sound like!!

Here's a quick vid...sorry it's dark but maybe tomorrow I will get another one. (PS turn up your volume because it's hard to hear!!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sfe4XcceBVA

Immediate plans other than the tune are to get an exhaust system on her, I have a good idea of what it is I want but if that's gonna take some time I might just throw a temp exhaust set-up until I can get it done the right way. Then it's tint the windows, and get the bed Rhino lined.
And that'll be it until I get back from my next assignment after which I'll get busy with the truck again!
