Your wish is my command!!

I think today was just gonna be one of those days. I did get both dip sticks in...had a hard time with the tranny dip stick but it wasn't getting it into place that ruined my evening, it was pushing that sucker down into the tranny.
First obstacle was this stupid tab...

Hell if I know what the hell it is for(I'm guessing it's a casting tab) but if it turns out to be a super duper sensitive part of the transmission that keeps it from blowing up well...**** it! It's gone now!!

Got the dip stick in and I think I should of ground that tab down to the very nub but oh well, dip stick is flush against it...

I also swapped out a couple of the tranny bolts that I had in the bellhousing for the double sided bolts so I could bolt the bracket on...

Anyways, regardless of whether it was a 60e dip stick or a 80e dipstick it's in now and I had to do a little bit of bending to get it to go. Nothing major but the dipstick will perform it's function without spilling any oil I hope so that's all that matters. Here's what the tip of the dipstick tube looks like...

Anyways, knowing that the tranny dip stick gave me such a hard time I was pretty sure that the engine dipstick sure wasn't gonna go in without a fight either. Well I did get it in but it's pinching this the spark plug wire rubber boot pretty good...

But I don't think it's gonna interfere too bad...

Tomorrow I'm gonna run the EVAC lines, hook up the Fuel Pressure Regulator reference line as well as the fuel pressure sensor, bolt up the Y-pipe and drop her to the ground. Fill her up with fluid and wait for Thursday to roll around. Reynaldo (CHPSpecial) is gonna come by on Thursday and flash my tune in with his EFILive since I can't use my HPTuners to convert to DBW. I want to thank CurtD for his awesome offer to send me his EFILive but in the short term of things I think this will be the quickest option.

since you already ground the tranny rab off why not notch the dipstick tubes bracket a bit to allow it some room near the plugs boot
