just read this whole thread and i have to give you props on this man. doing your own wrenching will make you appreciate it more too.

question, why did you wire the bolts together on the brake rotors?

Did it to prevent them from walking themselves loose(per manufacturer's direction). It doesn't keep them torqued down, but if they do work themselves loose they won't walk themselves out. I'm sure someone can probably give you a more scientific explanation.

ah i understand. didnt know if it was just a little trick you came up with or what. its a good idea though, id hate to have them come apart doin 80

FWIW Ive never had problems re-using exhaust manifold gaskets, used the originals off my Z71 5 or 6 times before they started leaking and that was with ~150K on them...

You're going to have fun getting that trans dipstick in, remember patience is a virtue, its easy to say but I can never follow it

I did mine with everything in place. I fought it for about and hour, got mad, looked at it for a while then touched it and it fell in to place. yeah, have fun!

BFH fixes anything!!!! well that and duct tape

beat it to fit, then paint it to match!
